Wow, this audience has obviously never played Super Mario before :P Yes, Rob the toad will be one of the characters in SMWC. You'll learn about him in future comics, so stick around to learn more!

Now about this comic, I quite liked this one! I like the effects, and the little picture at the end satisfied me as well ;)

But yeah, that's all I have to say for now. Just look out for one of the new characters coming in the future!

Yes that really is a surprise...the princess getting kidnapped thing. So Toad is one of the new characters, you know I expected someone else to show up, but I'll keep it to myself for now, he could show up later.

To Oblivion Actually, the toad's name is Rob. I decided to give him a name, since Toad seems a bit generic

Also... where do you get the sprites? I have no interest of using them, but I'm wondering how you got them to that size without them loosing massive quality.

I go to http://spriters-resource.com/ then find a few sprite sheets and save them to my computer. Then I open them up with Paint and resize them by selecting the whole sheet then using the stretch/skew feature to resize them about 400%. I use Photoshop for everything else in this comic.
